The Mothapo Systems "RAFt" is specified by 90% of our Data Centre customers because, for raised floor installations, the "RAFt" reduces the planning and design phase, avoids tile cutting, does away with the need for extra / intermediate pedestals, simplifies tile lifting, overcomes dimensional incompatibility between rack foot print and tile size, facilitates rack install and stabilisation, speeds project progress and saves significant cost. The RAFt can even be used to hang under floor brackets for power sockets or patch panels, adding to your configuration options.
Our rack mounted cable raceway is a big customer favourite. Single or multi-tier Raceway is fitted directly to the roof of the rack, in widths which match the rack width. Raceway can be pre-fitted at our factory, so as racks are installed the Raceway is installed instantly for zero installation cost. Difficult ceiling work is substantially avoided and projects are completed more quickly (Cross Aisle and inter row bridges provide a complete solution).
We can fit expander kits which add cabling capacity to 600 (24") wide racks. Our expander kits were designed for our broadcasting racks where cabling volumes are very large increasingly Data Centre specifiers are reverting to 600 (24") volume and clear air flow paths. Mothapo Systems "Hideaway" PDU power strips are totally out of the way further enhancing usable space. The 700 (28") wide Mothapo Systems Rack range provides a step up in rack capacity and remember, eight x 700 wide racks can fit in the same space as seven x 800 wide racks, a gain of approximately 14%. Of course sometimes an 800 wide rack is truly necessary.
We can reduce cooling energy cost by as much as 40% by specifying cold aisle cocooning. Some customers have been able to switch off one in 3 CRAC units and reduce work load of the remaining two. Aisle Cocooning is just cold common sense and customers report pay back in a few months, plus extended server life is logically expected.
Some Data Centres require higher security areas. Unfortunately old style security cages create many negatives i.e. they defeat efficient floor plans, reduce the quantity of racks in the Data hall, diminishing income, complicate cooling, damage the floor, cost money and complicate hygiene and cleaning. Our Aisle Cocooning Solutions will securely close off Aisles, take no additional floor space, maximise rack quantity and remove the problems and difficulties posed by cages. The Aisle Cocooning doors and overhead panels can if required be upgraded with strong metal mesh for even higher physical security. Positive security control can be intensified with Mothapo Systems Guard remote access control and alarms. Mothapo Systems Aisle Cocooning provides a highly secure virtual cage and improves cooling efficiency at the same time.
